Jack england
Jack swapped life cutting hair on Bondi Beach for his own barbershop in his hometown, bringing back a much-needed laid back and stylish vibe to Tewkesbury high street with him from down under.
A well as being inspired by his time in Australia, Jack has plenty of experience under his belt from the UK starting in 2009 where industry leaders trained him Wella and L’oreal for advanced cutting courses, before qualifying as a unisex hairdresser and then transitioning into barbering full time.
Creating Studio Sixty allowed him to bring his own personality to the studio, share his skills in the art of fading and classic barbering, and bring a new vibe to the historic town.
When he isn’t running the studio, he is pretending he’s too cool to go clubbing or making sure his cat doesn’t ruin his favourite slippers.
Qualifications
Will Newman
Will was the first member to join the Studio Sixty team in 2019 as an elite barber, specialising in anything from scissor work to fading, with a has a brilliant reputation amongst clients.
His interest in hairdressing sparked from an unlikely place, at a BBQ on the other side of the world whilst watching a friend having a trim, helping Will find his true passion that he then turned into his career.
After qualifying off the back of his apprenticeship, Will continued to develop his craft with advanced cutting and colouring courses led by industry-leading experts and suppliers.
When he isn’t checking out his 5-star reviews, Will enjoys paddleboarding, playing football, and pretending to be vegan.
He may look homeless but assure you he’ll make you look like a million dollars.
Qualifications:
Shaun McVay
After trying out let’s say ‘a few’ different industries, Shaun found the route into hairdressing and hasn’t looked back since, now holding a well-rounded 11 years of hairdressing and barbering experience, as well as a Wella Barber of the year award.
After barbering around Cheltenham, Shaun joined Studio Sixty, showing Tewkesbury what they were missing out on. Only a few barbers can match his level of precision and knowledge, which is why he has such a busy chair.
After his morning fish and rice cakes, which he will most likely eat in front of his Connor Mcgregor poster, he will come into the shop to try and convince his clients that he really “does UFC”.
Qualifications:
Tom Sallis
From Saturday boy to skin fade specialist, Tom discovered his passion for barbering at just 15 at his local barber shop.
Keen to put his passion into practice, he began cutting his friends’ hair at the weekends and enrolled in an apprenticeship right after finishing school for professional training.
His passion and talent quickly became evident, and he transitioned to cutting hair on the shop floor.
Tom’s creative skin fades have become the talk of Tewkesbury, with his unique patterns becoming his signature service. He won’t let you leave the studio until you have the perfect look, ready to shout about on the gram.
When he’s not busy styling hair, Tom can be found in the gym pouting in the mirror or creating TikTok videos.
